Crossroads to Freedom connects a digital archive of materials from the Civil Rights era in Memphis, TN, to community education and engagement. The purpose of the archive is to promote and support discussions of the impact of this historical period on our community today.

We have over 70 oral history interviews, along with Judge Russell Sugarmon's papers, the 1962 Hearings of the Commission on Civil Rights and more. We are adding articles from the Memphis World, a local black newspaper.
